Ivy's Candied Bacon

Yield: 4 servings
12 ea Strips of bacon
1/2 c Brown sugar
Pre-heat oven to 350 deg-F.
Cover a baking sheet with aluminum foil.
Sprinkle 1 side of bacon strips with brown sugar.
Press it into bacon well.
Put bacon, sugar side down, on a wire rack on top of a baking sheet.
Top other side of bacon with more brown sugar then press into bacon.
Bake for 15 mins. then continue to bake until a dark brown & well cooked.
Bacon will not crisp in oven but will get crispy as it cools & sugar hardens.
Allow bacon to cool then chop.
Serve as an appetizer, snack or as an ingredient in many dishes.
