Meat loaf with mashed potato icing to look like a real birthday cake

yummy i have a recipe where you make them in cupcake liners and then frost them with whipped potatoes

On April fools day, I got my kids a good one this way. I made meatloaf in the cupcake pan....with cupcake liners and all. I frosted with mashed potatoes. I added food coloring to disguise the mashed potatoes as frosting. The kids took one bite and it was comical....we still laugh about it.

How cute. For April 1st, I've made meatloaf cakes in cupcake liners.....then topped them with colored mashed potatoes. You should see people's faces when they bite in to them the first time.

That is cute. I've seen it done in a rectangular cake pan too and they colored the potatoes with food coloring.
