The person who told me this told me that 1. it is not a scone if you don't use buttermilk 2. Cranberries do not belong in a scone and 3. That bran scones are the truly authentic recipe.
What I had posted was a recipe I came up with to satisfy my craving for scones and not kill my diet. Granted they still aren't "healthy" but they rank a 6 on the weight watchers scale as opposed to a 9 with most others.
