Smart Ones Pasta with Ricotta and Spinach

I recently bought a few new Smart Ones, which I was quite excited about.

Today I tried the Pasta with Ricotta and Spinach.

According to the box: Mini pasta ribbons with a creamy white sauce, herbed ricotta cheese and chopped spinach.

I was quite excited to try this one - cream sauce for only 5 points? Sign me up! From the moment I saw it on the Smart Ones website, I knew I wanted to try it. So I immediately grabbed it when I saw it this weekend.

Unfortunately, I won't be buying this again. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't great. There are some Smart Ones and Lean Cuisines that I really look forward to eating, and this does not compare to these.

The pasta ribbons were a bit squishy - like they were too thick - although they are a fun shape. The spinach was good - a lot of it and not overly spinach-tasting (sometimes it can taste very metallic). The sauce was good, but definitely under-salted and not as smooth as some of the other cream sauces.

There are plenty of other 5- and 6-point meals (Smart Ones & Lean Cuisine) - and some with a better-tasting cream sauce - that I will spend my money on instead. I'd rather eat an extra point and REALLY enjoy the meal, than save 1 point and have it be lackluster.
