Rachael Ray

I am watching Rachael Ray right now and I always enjoy her shows and recipes. This morning she is doing a 60 minute Thanksgiving dinner show. How can you create that mean in 30 minutes? This particular show is on The Food Network but she also has her own web site and that one has even different recipes. She is so cheerful and talented.

Rachael Ray also appears on CBS in my area Monday through Friday at 9am.

She is hilarious! She grew up near here, still has a home there, is around all the time and is in the phonebook. I went to a fundraiser cooking show at her old high school that she does every year...believe me, she is NOT as perky as she is on the show! She has no problem telling anyone to get stuffed in no uncertain terms, but does it is such a funny way. She's very nice and friendly and really, really funny.

She is cool. I watch her on Food Channel. She can make a T'giving dinner in an hour because she has a dozen people doing it for her. I watch all of these great chefs preparing their epicurian delights while my TV dinner is warming in the micro, lol.

I still enjoy the entertainment value. Most chefs have a prep staff. My son spent some time working in restaurants while preparing for his musical career. I learned a great deal from him.

I have only seen her one time. I don't have much time to watch TV...spend too much time on the puter trying to make a few extra dollars or products! But the TV is always on! I like the noise or my daughter is watching it.

Tha makes at least two of us, Deb. The Food Network is normally the channel that is in the background.

I do mine in an hour....but mine is the already prepared from a store.... really worth the time and the price, too. you cannot buy these separately for the price you can get them at the store...the major grocery chains have them.

i think people on a budget could get together with friends and chip in and have a wonderful time. ...

You are right. The main expense is setting up the kitchen with all the proper spices. So many recipes can be adapted to what works with our budget. Just use her recipes as a basic idea and work from there.

Rachel really knocked Martha off her pedestal. Nobody has time for the old style Martha, and even the new style Martha is not that great.

I like her. But me and my friends we like to wacth Rocco Dispirito.. He is HECKA HOT.
My moms says it's funny that we watch a cooking show only becaus the we think the guy is hot. She says next time she is going to see if we really are watching it. So she is going to test us. MAke us cook somthing we just learned by watching him.
I am not sure we would pass.

Don't know him, but will check it out. There are so many talented chefs on television. I should be watching for shows that are on regular network TV.

Thanks. I think he's going to go get his gen ed. credits at community college first, so that it won't be quite so expensive... but it sure would help if he could swing a scholarship!

There are many scholarships out there that are never even used. I don't have the resources, Lydia, but I know this from other years. Will just take some research.

Community colleges are wonderful and a reasonably priced way to get the basics before transferring to a 4 year collegte.

I love all of her shows.. she is awesome.. my husband HATES her and thinks she is SO ANNOYING.. so I watch it when he is at work! :) PIF
