Pigs in a blanket

Tonight, I made dinner with my daughter. The kids have been asking for 'Pigs in a blanket' for awhile now. So, tonight was the night to have them for dinner. My daughter helped me get the ingrediants out. While I heated up the oven.

1 package hotdogs
4 slices of cheese
2 rolls of biscuits (I get the kind that has 8 pieces)

Preheat oven to 350. Cut hotdogs in half. Set aside. Take the cheese, fold and seperate in to 4 pieces. Take a biscuit. Pat it down to make it larger. Add a piece of cheese to the center. Add a hotdog. Than wrap the biscuit around hotdog. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 14 to 17 mintues. Or until biscuits are done.

I took a picture of the 'Pigs in a blanket'. I didn't have my camera when I was making them to get one of my daughter. My daughter wasn't able to close hers very well. Hers remind me of a miniature hotdog with cheese. But I think hers turned out really good for her first time. I made mac n cheese and green beans for sides. The meal was ate all up. Nothing was left.

Elliott loves those. Yesterday we made something similar. We used crescent rolls, two kinds of cheese, and some turkey smoked sausage. I wrap them all the way up in the crescent rolls when I make them that way, and my son calls them "bread with surprises."

my kids like these too, but we've used the croissant rolls same effect, just depends I guess if you want fluffier blankets or not, but most of the time they are a huge hit with kids, and a good variation on hot dogs.

i make fry bread for the outside and use hot dogs to they fill everybody right up ill have to make them now there on my mind great pics thanks

sounds yum... if u go 2 the Pillsbury website, u can get cool way's 2 make these spooky like for halloween. My daddy's wife does that every year!

I haven't tried them made that way. We make them with hamburger and cabbage and tomato sauce. Forgot how to make them, it's been so long but I'm craving them.

My boys love these, but I have only used the ready made dough once....on the grill and they ended up sticking too it. I think I might have to make a second attempt though, as making the dough from scratch is the reason, why we don't get them often.

These are a fun food. This is one of those things that even picky kids will usually eat, and it can be adjusted to be fairly healthy.
