Do you enjoy perking your ice cream and cakes up to a higher standard? Well I have just the thing for you. This homemade topping is great for ice cream, to put on cake and even yugurt. I just love it. It is so easy to make and will last up to a month in the fridge. If you can keep it that long, without eating it, it will surprise me. Hope you enjoy it.
Butter Pecan Streusel Topping
1/2 cup flour
1/3 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
3 TBSP butter, softened
1/2 cup chopped pecans
Preheat oven to 350. cover a cookie sheet with foil. In a medium bowl,
combine flour and brown sugar. With pastry blender or fingertips, work
in butter until mixture is crumbly; stir in pecans. Spread in a thin
layer on prepared cookie sheet, patting evenly. Bake about 15 minutes,
or until mixture is lightly toasted; cool on cookie sheer. Store
mixture in an airtight container for up to 3 weeks. Use as a topping
for yogurt, ice cream, frozen yogurt or pudding.
