I had a craving for chocolate chip cookies, but wasn’t in the mood to bake individual bunches of cookies. I came up with this bar style cookie instead.
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup butter, melted
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 egg
1 3/4 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 375°F.
In a large bowl, beat sugars and butter til smooth. Add vanilla and egg; blend well. Stir in flour, baking soda and salt; mix well.
Stir in chips. Spread in 13x9” baking pan.
Bake 18 to 20 minutes or til light golden brown. Cool completely in pan. Cut into bars.
Ooooozing with chocolate!

My dear Shannon, there is no such thing as overkill when it comes to chocolate.
Thanks for posting this. Sounds yummy.
Any vanilla ice cream to go with it?
Sounds like another winner. And I always enjoy your photographs. Good job! Thanks.
Mine too, Mama Cee. I think.
Hope you make them!
