You can find out how healthy eating can help lower your blood pressure. Did you know that cutting down on salt and eating no more than 6g a day could lower blood pressure by 2-8mmHg? Just a caution to watch all that salt added to food. A high salt diet is a cause of high blood pressure. Many studies show that people who reduce salt in their food enjoy a lower blood pressure and are less likely to suffer stroke or heart disease - associated with high blood pressure. One way to encourage a low salt diet is to make your own hampers as gifts - this article give some great ideas about making Christmas hampers that you can carefully choose the foods and drinks that they contain. </div>

-- Bonjour! Occasionally I add ground cinnamon to a cup of coffee. I like the suggestion in Martha's Nov. '09 LIVING magazine to combine cinnamon, ginger, & nutmeg to add spice to pumpkin bread, zucchini bread, etc. This blend plus (brown) sugar can be sprinkled on buttered toast. -- |
